Memocept Testing & Quality
Where it is made, what is tested, what those seals mean — and what none of it can tell you.
Memocept is made in the United States in an FDA-registered, GMP facility, and each production run carries a certificate of analysis.
The current lot, MC26-NY5512, is documented under certificate ANL-MC-5512-2026 by Atlantic Nutrient Lab, Brooklyn, covering identity and a microbial screen. “FDA-registered facility” means the facility is registered with the agency — it does not mean the product is FDA approved, and no dietary supplement is.
What each Memocept mark actually means
Manufactured domestically from foreign and domestic ingredients
The facility is registered. The product is not approved.
Good Manufacturing Practice — a real, auditable standard
Sales-page language. Not a third-party certification.
No gluten-containing ingredient on the panel
No dairy-derived ingredient in the formula
No animal-derived ingredient declared
A marketing term with no legal definition — read the panel
An unregulated claim. It is not a clinical endorsement.
The one on this list with terms you can hold us to
Four of these ten are meaningful claims with a definition behind them. The rest are marketing language, and we would rather say so than let a wall of seals do work the panel has not earned.
What happens to a Memocept production run
Ingredient intake
Raw materials are received against specification. The amino acids and the two micronutrients are the items an identity test confirms.
Blending and encapsulation
Actives are blended with the excipients on the panel and encapsulated, then bottled in 30s and sealed under the cap.
Batch testing
Each run is assigned a lot code and tested. For MC26-NY5512 that is identity plus a microbial screen, documented on certificate ANL-MC-5512-2026 by Atlantic Nutrient Lab, Brooklyn.
The limitation, stated once more. Identity testing confirms that what is named on the label is what is in the capsule. It does not and cannot confirm how much, because the manufacturer does not publish amounts. Any page implying that a certificate of analysis validates an undisclosed formula is misdescribing what a certificate is.
How supplements like Memocept are regulated in the United States
Dietary supplements are regulated as food, not as drugs. Manufacturers are responsible for the safety and labelling of what they sell, and the FDA acts after a product is on the market rather than approving it beforehand — the FDA sets this out directly. There is no pre-market approval for any supplement, this one included.
Labelling is governed by 21 CFR 101.36, which is what permits a proprietary formula to name its ingredients without quantifying them. The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements is a good plain-language starting point if you want to understand what any supplement label is and is not telling you.
None of that makes Memocept untrustworthy. It makes it a food supplement, which is a different thing from a medicine, and the difference is worth knowing before you buy any bottle from anyone.
Memocept: tested where it can be, and honest where it cannot.
